Maya Landgrebe
Student Regent, 2024-2025

Maya Landgrebe of Alvin is a TWU alumna with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She is currently pursuing her entry-level doctorate in occupational therapy at TWU Houston. She was inspired to pursue occupational therapy after seeing its tremendous effect on people’s wellbeing and the creativity the field allows for. As a pioneer, Maya has a long history of involvement, both on and off campus. As a COVID first-year student who struggled to make connections, she aspired to create a community across the campus for those who followed. She created dozens of events on campus and welcomed the largest first-year class so far at TWU as an orientation team lead. She formerly served as the TWU Residence Hall Association president and regional director of the Southwest Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls, where she began her leadership journey and represented hundreds of students. Across the Denton community, she represented TWU on the downtown Denton advisory board and volunteered at the local women’s shelter. Maya has a passion for advocating and bringing a new perspective to those around her.
