Current Student Regent

David Jennings

David Jennings was appointed by Texas Governor Greg Abbott as Student Regent for Texas Woman’s University effective December 19, 2025, to serve the remainder of the term set to expire on May 31, 2026.

David received an Associate of Arts in General Studies from North Central Texas College and a bachelor of arts in Psychology from Texas State University, where he was awarded the Terry Foundation Scholarship. He is currently pursuing a doctor of philosophy in school psychology at TWU and works at TWU as a graduate teaching assistant.  David lives with his wife and two young children in Sanger.
