SGA Reps

Class Representatives are nominated and elected by their class at the beginning of their academic program. The Class Rep is your link to SGA and the university administration. Each class can have one representative for every 50 students enrolled. They are your voice on campus.

SGA-Dallas Class Representatives

  • Represent their class throughout their academic program
  • Attend monthly SGA open forums
  • Serve as a voting member of SGA officer meetings
  • Meet regularly one-on-one with SGA advisor
  • Provide classmates with information on upcoming SGA meetings and events, and encourages participation
  • Advocate for the concerns and needs of classmates
  • Complete at least one office hour a week to help increase awareness and interaction with SGA and students
  • Receive stipend for commitment (up to $250 per semester)

Qualifications

  • Must be elected by a majority vote of their classmates, or appointed by SGA in certain circumstances
  • Must be enrolled in a Dallas campus program with an enrollment of at least 50 students
  • Should enjoy speaking with and advocating for others
  • Open to attending and assisting with events when available
  • Able to manage time and schedule
  • Able to maintain academic standards
