Programs

The TWU Master of Social Work degree program offers two programs of study:

  • Two-year generalist degree - for students who hold a bachelor’s degree in a field other than Social Work. Students with full-time status will complete 10 foundation courses (30 credit hours) in the first year and 10 advanced courses (30 credit hours) in the second year.
  • Advanced-standing program - geared towards students with a bachelor of social work from an accredited program. For qualified students, the first generalist year is waived and they can complete the program in one year. Students with full-time status will complete 10 advanced courses (30 credit hours).

Students in both programs are required to choose one elective during the advanced year.
