Denton Campus

Maybe you’ll dance in the ballroom of Hubbard Hall or enjoy a picnic lunch at Pioneer Park, but maybe it’s more likely you’ll pass through the pillars on your way to study at the Blagg-Huey Library.

The Denton Campus is a bustling college campus in a lively college town. It is home to five amazing academic colleges, including our College of Health Sciences. It’s where you can begin your pre-physical therapy education as an undergraduate student.

Pre-Physical Therapy and undergraduate programs available in Denton

TWU offers a number of undergraduate degrees that are well-suited toward pre-physical therapy including kinesiology/exercise science, biology, psychology, family science and child development that will start you on the right track. After taking courses such as exercise testing and physiology, advanced exercise physiology, neuroanatomy and physiology, biomechanics, and sports and fitness management, you will participate in internships focused on rehabilitation and fitness. (These degrees are not a mandatory requirement for entrance into the School of Physical Therapy and other undergraduate degrees are accepted.)

In these programs, which are offered on our Denton campus, you will take a specific set of prerequisite courses designed for those who want to enter the physical therapy profession.
