Mission

The mission of the TWU Master’s/Dietetic Internship Program is to provide exemplary graduate education culminating in a master’s degree and supervised practice experiences in a variety of practice settings, to prepare graduates for successful careers as Registered Dietitian Nutritionists, and to provide the foundation for service and leadership in professional and community organizations.

#1.  Prepare competently trained program graduates for successful careers as entry-level Registered Dietitian Nutritionists.

1. At least 80% of program interns will complete the Dietetic Internship program within 24 months (150% of the program length). 
2. Of graduates who seek employment, 80% will be employed in nutrition and dietetics or related fields within 12 months of graduation. 
3. Eighty percent of program graduates will take the CDR credentialing exam for dietitian nutritionists within 12 months of program completion. 
4. The program’s one-year pass rate (graduates who pass the registration exam within one year of first attempt) on the CDR credentialing exam for dietitian nutritionists is at least 80%.
5. At two years post program graduation, at least 80% of employers will give program graduates a rating of “Good” to “Excellent” in entry-level knowledge and skills as compared to other RDNs at the same level of experience.  
6. At two years post program graduation, at least 80% of graduates will rate themselves as “Prepared” or “Well Prepared” in MNT knowledge and skills for their first entry-level position.

#2.  Prepare graduates for service and leadership in professional and community organizations.  

1. At least 70% of program graduates will indicate membership in professional and/or community organizations within two years of program completion.
2. At least 20% of graduates will hold leadership positions in professional and/or community organizations within two years of program completion.
