U.S. News ranks TWU among top ethnically diverse institutions

For the second straight year, Texas Woman’s University has been ranked among the nation’s top ethnically diverse institutions, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2022 “Best Colleges” edition, released this week. Nationally, TWU received the fourth-highest diversity index rating. In Texas, the university tied for the second-highest ranking.

TWU, Amarillo College unite to expand degree options for Panhandle communities

Texas Woman’s University and Amarillo College (AC) have partnered to create a seamless pathway to teacher certification and other programs that will effectively increase career options for Texas Panhandle communities.

TWU hosts hero pilot Tammie Jo Shults in online lecture Oct. 6

Captain Tammie Jo Shults, the widely acclaimed pilot who brought Southwest Flight 1380 in for a successful, heroic emergency landing in 2018, headlines the fall installment of the Paup Lecture Series. The free, online event is open to the public and hosted by the Jane Nelson Institute for Women’s Leadership at Texas Woman’s University. 

The virtual lecture will begin at 6 p.m., Oct. 6, 2021. Preregistration is required.
