Move-In Week
Early Drop-Off
In order to reduce congestion and streamline the check-in process on move-in day, Housing & Dining is providing opportunities for residential students to drop off their belongings to their on-campus residence prior to their assigned move-in day. Parliament Village and Guinn Hall residents can sign up for a 30-minute time slot to drop off their belongings on Saturday, August 8 from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Stark Hall residents can sign up for a 30-minute slot on Sunday, August 9, from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm. We ask that students bring a maximum of two guests to help move items to their room. Your time slot is only to be used for dropping off items, and you must be finished within your 30-minute time slot.
To sign up for early drop-off, select the link below that corresponds with your on-campus residence, and use the code 425380 to access the available sign-up times

COVID-19 and Move-In
Residential students must limit their assistance to one friend or family member on their assigned move-in day. Every person entering a University facility must wear a face covering and must follow posted guidelines concerning physical distancing and the use of designated paths, both in buildings and elsewhere on campus. Self-screening must be done by each individual who plans to enter the campus. If you or your guest are ill, please do not come to campus. Self-screening instructions are available here.
Physical distancing of at least 6 feet must be observed at all times. Please follow posted signage for guidance on capacity limits in shared areas such as elevators, lounges and bathrooms. Elevators will be limited to four passengers at a time.
USS movers have been contracted to assist with moving students into Guinn Hall, Parliament Village and Stark Hall. Face coverings will be worn by all workers in combination with frequent hand sanitizing and social distancing while inside the building. Please contact the Office of Housing & Dining at 940-898-3676 or housing@twu.edu if you have any concerns regarding your move-in.
We ask that all residential students bring face coverings and hand sanitizer when coming to campus for move-in and observe social distancing guidelines as provided by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (6 feet distance) in order to protect themselves and the TWU community. For the latest TWU COVID-19 related information, visit www.twu.edu/coronavirus/.
Class Enrollment and Meningitis Vaccination
All students living on campus must be enrolled full-time (12 or more hours) throughout the term of the Housing & Dining contract (one academic year). Students will not be able to move into an on campus assignment until class registration reflects 12 + hours.
In addition, we strongly suggest students check the modality in which their classes will be offered (online or in-person). All full-time students are welcomed to reside on campus regardless of how classes are offered. However, if students choose to reside at home, they will need to request to be released from their housing contract by August 14, 2020. This is not an automatic process and so arrangements and approval will need to be made in advance. If approved, the Housing & Dining Contract will be cancelled without cancellation fees.
Students residing on campus must also have a record of their meningitis vaccination on file 10 days prior to moving into TWU housing.
