Degree requirements
The BS in Multidisciplinary Studies degree requirements include:
- Completion of Texas Core requirements
- 36 hours of 3000-4000 level concentration area courses divided between two or three areas
- Two concentration areas (18 hours in each area; nine hours must be taken at TWU)
- Three concentration areas (12 hours in each area; six hours must be taken at TWU)
- Grade of C or better in each concentration area course
- Completion of Global Perspectives Course (three hours)
- Completion of the required MDS 4003 Multidisciplinary Studies Capstone course (three hours, requirement)
- 2.0 cumulative and institutional GPA
- Completion of 120 hours total for bachelor's degree (30 hours of degree must be taken at TWU)
Once accepted at TWU, Student Records will review your transcript and notify you of which courses can be transferred. After declaring BSMDS as your major, you can work with Vicki Jennings, our academic advisor, to create a degree plan.
Undergraduate Admission
When you apply to TWU, we will evaluate your academic achievement and preparation, as well as your standardized test scores. Admission to TWU is valid for four terms, unless you have attended another higher education institution.
