Leadership institute launches speakers bureau

Jan. 20, 2026 — DENTON — The Jane Nelson Institute for Women’s Leadership (JNIWL) at Texas Woman’s University has launched the Center for Women in Government Speakers Bureau, a directory featuring a free, accessible platform connecting schools, civic organizations and community groups with women leaders in public service across Texas.

The directory includes Texas women who are available for speaking engagements on public service, leadership and civic engagement. Among the available speakers are assistant city managers, fund administrators, elected officials, government relations professionals and nonprofit leaders, reflecting the varied pathways women take in shaping their communities.

“As demand grows for meaningful civic engagement and leadership education, the CWG Speakers Bureau makes it easier than ever for communities to connect directly with women who are actively shaping Texas,” said Marlene Phillips, CWG’s director.

The directory allows visitors to browse speaker profiles and submit engagement inquiries. The CWG connects requesters directly with speakers for events.
