Center for Women in Business changes name to Center for Women Entrepreneurs

The Center for Women in Business has a new name—it is now the Center for Women Entrepreneurs. This change more clearly reflects the work that the center does to facilitate economic growth among women entrepreneurs in Texas.

In fact, over the last year the center:

• Provided business advisement to 86 women-owned businesses
• Assisted 10+ women in starting or expanding a business in Texas
• Awarded $50K to 10 women-owned businesses in Texas through its microgrant program
• Promoted its services at more than 50 events, sponsorship opportunities and conferences focused on women entrepreneurs, reaching 20,000+ women

Though its name has changed, the center’s mission of helping Texas become the #1 state for women-owned businesses remains the same.
