Grant Accounting
Grant Accounting is tasked with post-award financial administration and reporting for all grant types ( federal, state, and private). These reports include periodic FSR’s (financial status reports), research surveys, actual expenditure data included in progress reports, and cumulative values included in the TWU AFR (Annual Financial Report). Values reported in the University’s AFR are combined with values for all other agencies and institutions of higher education for the State of Texas Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.
Other responsibilities of the Grant Accounting Office include grant billings, drawing of federal funds, monitoring grant receivables, setting up of expenditure object classes for grants and all chart of account administration from opening to closing for grant accounts.
