Texas Prompt Payment Act
The State of Texas Prompt Payment Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter 2251, stipulates that payment is due for goods or services 30 calendar days after the latest of:
- The day the agency received the goods
- The day the services were completed by the vendor
- The day the agency received the invoice for the goods or services
A payment is considered overdue beginning on the 31st day.
