Texas First Scholarship
The Texas First Scholarship provides state credit (a scholarship) to eligible, admitted students who graduate early from a Texas public high school with a Distinguished Level of Achievement. The state credit offered to you is based on the number of semesters you graduate early. The value of the scholarship is determined by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
Eligibility requirements
- Be a Texas resident
- Be registered with Selective Service or be exempt from this requirement
- Have graduated early from high school under the Texas First Early High School Completion Program and comply with required high school graduation requirements
Application process
The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) will issue a certificate to you if you meet all eligibility requirements. To redeem the state credit for funding at Texas Woman’s University, you must email a copy of your certificate to finaid@twu.edu.
State credit offered through this program expires at the end of the first academic year following your graduation from high school. The Texas First Program does not guarantee automatic admission for students.
