Register for Practice TExES Exams

Students have the choice of taking the practice tests on 240 Tutoring or Mometrix.

The TWU EPP monitors candidate progress and determines readiness to test via instructional benchmarks, course assessments, and certification practice exams. Once the candidate demonstrates test readiness, the TWU EPP will grant test approval for the appropriate state exam(s) required for certification, per the candidate’s degree plan or plan of study.

Test options

240 Tutoring or Mometrix Practice Test Options

1. Request a discount code to purchase 240 Tutoring for $40. Email keshelman@twu.edu to request the discount code.
2. 240 Tutoring supports all certification exams except EC-12 Art and EC-12 Theater.
   • The 240 Tutoring Practice Test Option for a Principal as Instructional Leader 268 candidates can be used to demonstrate mastery of multiple choice items but only AFTER at least ONE successful TWU practice attempt demonstrating mastery on the constructed response portion of the exam (i.e. all 3s).
3. Complete 240 Tutoring or Mometrix to prepare for the practice test.
4. Email score report to Katy Eshelman (keshelman@twu.edu) once practice test is completed with a passing rate of 80% or higher.
5. Practice tests no older than the current or previous semester must be submitted from 240 Tutoring for approval.
