Policies and Guidelines

All students enrolled in distance education courses are responsible for knowing and adhering to TWU guidelines and policies. Here are a few of the most important ones for distance education students:

International Students

International students who hold F-1 visa status cannot enroll in academic programs that are defined as 100% distance education (online degrees). Due to regulations from the Department of Homeland Security, F-1 student visa holders have restrictions regarding the number of online (or distance education) credits that can be taken during the semester as it relates to fulfilling the full-time enrollment requirement. An international student may be admitted to the University for 100% distance education (online degrees) but is only authorized to complete the program from outside of the United States. Please contact International Affairs for more information.

Directory Publication Information

Each year, the TWU campus publishes an annual directory that list each student’s full name, local and permanent address, telephone number, email address, classification and other information. If you do not wish to have your information listed in the directory, it is your responsibility to complete and submit the "Request to Prevent Disclosure of Directory Information form” to the Registrar’s Office. In order for your information to be withheld from the directory – you must complete the form prior to the census date of each semester or session.
