Center for Belonging and First-Generation Students

The Center for Belonging and First-Generation Students (CBFGS) aligns with the university's mission to both create an environment of belonging for the university community and intentionally serve students who come from families new to higher education.

CBFGS welcomes students from all backgrounds in its commitment to building inclusive communities within the TWU student body.  To foster a sense of belonging within the campus community, the Center will engage in efforts to celebrate the culture, identities, heritage, and history of TWU students.  The Center will also focus on creating supportive experiences for first-generation students to higher education to improve their retention and the successful obtainment of a TWU degree.

As we work through our inaugural year, we look forward to sharing more about our initiatives and programs that we are certain will ignite your Pioneer spirit!
