Junior AI Fellows Program
The Junior AI Fellows program is a one-year mentored research fellowship for Texas Woman's faculty and staff.
The program supports recipients as they complete an AI-focused research project from proposal through to a disseminated result. The Junior Fellows program will award three fellowships, one aligned to three research areas, and pairs each Junior Fellow with a team of Senior Fellow mentors.
The fellowship is built to seed a continuing research line, not to end at the conclusion of the fellowship period.
Who Should Apply
The Junior Fellows program is open to Texas Woman's faculty and staff across the Denton, Dallas, and Houston campuses.
Research Areas
An application must propose a project in one of the following three areas of research:
- Research in Applied AI: Building or implementing and testing AI solutions that solve identified, well-defined problems in academia or industry.
- Pedagogical Research on AI: Studying how AI changes teaching and learning and/or the impact of AI implementations on students.
- Workforce Readiness Research: Evaluating the impact of curriculum and/or practice aligned to the AI skills regional employers demand.
