Keating co-edits Anzaldúa novella
TWU professor of Multicultural Women's and Gender Studies AnaLouise Keating, PhD, has co-edited Gloria Anzaldúa’s Prieta Is Dreaming: a cuentos-novela, which is forthcoming this November from SUNY Press.
The book was co-edited by Kelli D. Zaytoun and Suzanne Bost.
Anzaldúa is best known for Borderlands/La Frontera: The New Mestiza.
Started in the 1970s and revised up until Anzaldúa's death in 2004, Prieta Is Dreaming affirms Anzaldúa's place at the forefront of contemporary feminist, queer and border theory. In nineteen intertwined stories, the reader finds some of Anzaldúa's most adventurous, inspired ideas about gender, sexuality and the very nature of existence, and a character as bold and memorable as the book itself.
