Sustainability Committee

Welcome to the Texas Woman’s University Sustainability Committee webpage. This webpage was created to provide TWU students, employees, and community members with resources and opportunities to facilitate more sustainable choices and to reduce our environmental impact. This committee combines the efforts of several predecessor committees to centrally coordinate sustainability efforts at TWU.

Our committee aligns with the Invest Imperative of the university's strategic plan, which commits to sustainable and safe university environments. The strategic plan also includes a specific objective to “cultivate a sustainable university community by reducing environmental impact.”

By living a more sustainable lifestyle, we are also following TWU’s core values of caring, well-being, and collaboration.

TWU Sustainability Committee Mission Statement 

Our mission is to support sustainability across the campuses of the Texas Woman’s University System by:

• Informing members of the Texas Woman's community of resources and services on campus related to sustainability.
• Advocating for initiatives that will improve the sustainability of the university system.
