Faculty Research and Scholarly Activity
Five potential faculty research groups (FRG) have been developed to facilitate excellence in research at TWU CON. These groups are developed, based on the faculty research survey results and the reviews of NINR's and NLN's research priorities.
Integrated Health Promotion FRG
Embraces research interests related to improving Quality of Life for Individuals with Chronic Illness, Health Promotion, Preventive Health, Mental Health, Symptom Management, etc.
Women's Health FRG
Embraces research interests related to Women's Health, Partner Violence, Pregnancy, Postpartum, Menopause, Children Health, etc.
Health Systems FRG
Embraces research interests related to Health Disparities, Critical Care, Transitions, Handoff Communications, Healthcare Information Systems, Patient Safety, Forensics, Health Policy, Workforce Issues, etc.
End of Life/Palliative Care FRG
Embraces research interests related to End Of Life, Palliative Care, etc.
Science of Learning FRG
Embraces research interests related to Instructional Strategies, Simulation, e-Portfolio, Use Of EHRs, Online Teaching Strategies, Curriculum Design/Evaluation, Learner Characteristics/Retention/Achievements/Satisfaction, Interprofessional Education, Learning Outcome Instrument Development/Testing, Faculty Characteristics/Development/Retention/Outcomes/Satisfaction, New Graduate Nurses Transition To Practice, Accent Modification, Performance Improvement, Honors Program, etc.
Grant Application Support
CON Grant Review Task Force is available to support the grant applications through a mock-up review.
