Griffiths manifests A Yellow Rose into the world

Student regent finds dual purpose in leadership role

On June 1, Alyssa Flores was appointed by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott to become TWU’s newest student regent, following the term of her predecessor, Maya Landgrebe. Flores’ term expires May 31, 2026. Her vision is to make an impact in the university system and to increase the visibility of the student regent position. 

A Yellow Rose Project opens Aug. 11

The TWU Fine Arts Building East/West Galleries will host “A Yellow Rose Project,” an exhibit celebrating the centennial of the 19th Amendment, Aug. 11-Sept. 5.
