Passion for volunteerism motivates TWU student to fight human trafficking

Guadalupe Resendiz didn't waste a second of her senior year in the Texas Woman’s social work program. In between a packed class schedule, Resendiz also explored her passion for volunteer work. After discovering the International Studies Abroad (ISA) program, an education abroad affiliated partner with TWU, Resendiz found an opportunity to merge two of her passions - school and volunteer work through missions.

TWU announces new vice president for University Advancement

Texas Woman’s University today announced that Kimberly Russell, Ed.D, has accepted the position of vice president for University Advancement, effective Dec. 1st.

Department of Visual Arts to host annual student art exhibition

The Texas Woman’s University Department of Visual Arts will host its annual John Weinkein Juried Student Art Exhibition Oct. 13-Nov. 16 on TWU’s Denton campus. The exhibition will feature works by current TWU students from the studio arts, graphic design, art education and art history programs.

TWU to host Pioneer Preview Day Oct. 27, 2018

Texas Woman’s University will host Pioneer Preview Day — an open house event for potential first-year and transfer students — from 8 a.m. - 12:15 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27 on the university’s Denton campus.

TWU’s mascot has a name!

When Texas Woman’s University unveiled the owl mascot last year, students, alumni, faculty, staff and community members were asked to choose the name. The votes have been tallied and a name has been chosen.
