How to Audition

Step 1: Sign Up for Your Audition

1. Sign up for an audition time through Sign Up Genius
2. Include your GIVEN NAME.
3. Make note of your audition time and arrive no later than 10 minutes prior to the audition

Step 2: Prepare for Your Audition

1. Please prepare your chosen scale as required and all excerpts for your instrument as posted on the TWU Division of Music website.
2. A faculty panel will be hearing your audition
3. There will not be a sight-reading excerpt.
4. Due to time constraints, the audition panel may stop you at any point in the audition, once they feel they have heard enough to make an appropriate assessment. Please do not be offended. This simply streamlines the process.
5. Auditions will be held August 22-24 in Mr. Burris' office. For those new to TWU or unfamiliar with this location, directions will be posted in the main lobby of the music building (Margo Jones Performance Hall).
6. Please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled audition time and to fill out a brief information form prior to your audition.
