Pioneer Honor Band Festival

Friday-Saturday, November 21-22, 2025

We hope you will join us on the TWU Denton Campus for 7th annual Pioneer Honor Band Festival -  a weekend of All-State Masterclasses (TMEA & ATSSB), Honor Band rehearsals, a special command performance by the Texas Woman’s University Wind Symphony, and the grand finale Festival Concert. We are excited to welcome our 2025 Honor Band clinician, Carol Brittin Chambers, Featured Composer at the 78th Annual Texas Bandmasters Convention. Participants are accepted through DIRECTOR RECOMMENDATION ONLY and space is LIMITED. We hope to see you in November!

Participation includes:

• Membership in the 2025 Pioneer Honor Band with the finest high school students in the area. Students are accepted through director recommendation only.
• Masterclass with applied faculty with special emphasis on TMEA and ATSSB All-State Etudes.
• Tour of the Denton campus of Texas Woman’s University and lunch in our new dining facility
• Special Friday Night Performance by the TWU Wind Symphony
• Festival concert experience on Saturday evening
