How to Donate

Special Collections and University Archives is a growing collection of rare, unique, and historical materials. The department is actively seeking donations and materials that fit within our collection areas. Specifically, the department is interesting in the following areas:

  • Individual and personal collections of women
  • Records for women’s organizations
  • Cookbooks and recipe leaflets
  • Personal correspondence including: diaries, journals, postcards and letters
  • Children’s literature
  • Ephemera and memorabilia highlighting pop culture

We invite you to visit with our Special Collections and University Archives Team to discuss any collections, records, documents, objects, artifacts, or artwork you would be interested in donating. Collections are preserved with special focus on access and discoverability by scholars to support historical research. Collections are also available to students to meet curricular needs and promote student success.

Support the Woman's Collection

The Woman’s Collection and University Archives depends on the support of the public to acquire, preserve, and make available historical materials on the history of women throughout the United States. In addition, we rely on the general public to support our initiatives to collect local and regional history of Denton County as well as the history of Texas. Collection donations as well as monetary gifts and endowments are always welcome. These contributions add to our rich historical materials and help support our work to care for collections, provide access to and discoverability of rare and historic materials, and to promote their use in education, research and scholarship.
