OT faculty member named distinguished fellow

Angela Cecil, an assistant professor in the School of Occupational Therapy at Texas Woman’s, was recently named a distinguished fellow by the National Academies of Practice (NAP). 

‘Retired’ OT professor not resting on laurels

Tina Fletcher, a professor emerita in the School of Occupational Therapy, retired from Texas Woman’s in 2022. While she now has more time for traveling, she has continued to write and recently published a book along with four collaborators.

Nursing professor earns AJN Book of the Year award

Becky Spencer, Associate Clinical Professor in the College of Nursing, took home the American Journal of Nursing (AJN) Book of the Year Award for 2023 in the category of maternal child/neonatal nursing. Spencer was the first-place winner for her interprofessional textbook titled "Core Curriculum for Interdisciplinary Lactation Care, 2nd ed."

Nursing professor receives honorable mention award for poster

Suzanne Scheller, Associate Clinical Professor in the College of Nursing, received an honorable mention award for her poster at the 2023 American Association of Colleges of Nursing’s Transform 2023 conference.

OT and nursing students participate in fieldwork readiness lab

Dallas and Denton graduate students in the School of Occupational Therapy collaborated with senior students from the College of Nursing and rotated through a simulation lab in Dallas.
