About Honors

Admission to one of the TWU Honors Programs is based on a holistic assessment of the student’s preparation and motivation. We take into account a student’s goals, experiences, and achievements that extend beyond their grade point average.

What is Honors?

The Texas Woman’s University Honors programs provide an enhanced educational environment for talented and motivated undergraduate students designed to encourage high achievement academically and cultivate the whole person.

What makes TWU Honors different?

The TWU Honors programs are distinct in their approach to holistic learning. Our focus extends beyond rigorous academics in the belief that the development of future leaders calls for the development of the whole individual.

This is achieved through opportunities for research and presentation at the local and national level, social-cultural engagement around the DFW area, international education, service to others, and student leadership opportunities.

What can Honors lead to?

Our Honors program alums have entered careers in medicine, law, education, business, the arts, and a host of other fields. The resources and opportunities provided through Honors help facilitate and mobilize your future goals.
