Frequently Asked Questions

Schedule and Registration

When and where is Homecoming?
Homecoming is April 24-26, 2025, on the TWU Denton campus.

What do I need to know about the 2025 Homecoming schedule?
Homecoming kicks off on Thursday evening, April 24, with Pioneer Palooza – a student-centered event with alumni participation.  However, most of the alumni activities and events occur on Friday and Saturday.

The Friday schedule includes the new TWU Alumni Association launch and celebration events and the Alumni Achievement Awards Dinner. Saturday consists of special alumni gatherings throughout the day and class reunions in the evening. If you have attended Homecoming in the past, please note that this is a new arrangement intended to place as many events as possible on the weekend.

Where do I find a full listing of events?
Visit the Schedule of Events page on the TWU Homecoming site for the most up-to-date information.

Do I need to register?
We strongly encourage advance registration and events like the Alumni Achievement Awards Dinner require pre-registration and ticket purchase.

We will do our best to accommodate walk-ins for other Homecoming activities. However, to make certain you have a seat and to help us ensure adequate space and refreshments, please register today.

How do I register?
Registration is open! Complete the registration form available on this website. You will receive a confirmation email after completing the online form.

How much does Homecoming cost?
Homecoming events are free of charge, except for the Alumni Achievement Awards Dinner. Homecoming t-shirts are available for purchase when you register.

Where do I check-in?
Homecoming check-in will be in one centralized location this year at the Student Union at Hubbard Hall. You'll pick up your name tag and a bag of TWU goodies here before heading to your chosen events.

Hotel Accommodations, Transportation and Parking

How do I find a hotel?
Please visit the Plan Your Weekend page for hotel information.

Where do I park, and is there a shuttle?
Avoid campus construction and park on the west side of campus in the lot at Third St. and Oakland St. Shuttles will transport you from this lot to campus events. In case of rain, a tent will be available at the parking lot to keep you dry while waiting for the shuttle. Visit the Plan Your Weekend page to see a detailed parking map for Homecoming.

More parking is available at the lot at Third St. and Austin St. (behind Marketing and Communications) and the Oakland Complex parking garage. Visit the TWU Parking page to learn more about parking options on campus, or view the interactive parking map.

General

What if there is inclement weather?
The majority of Homecoming events are indoors. In the case of inclement weather, all outdoor events will be moved indoors to the Student Union at Hubbard Hall. Visit the Schedule of Events page for more details about each event's new rain location.

What should I wear?
The attire for most Homecoming events is casual. Recommended attire for the Alumni Achievement Awards Dinner on Friday evening is business.

Can I bring my pet to Homecoming?
Pets and animals are generally not permitted in TWU buildings. Service animals, service animals in training, and assistance animals are welcome. For more on these university policies, visit the TWU Animals on Campus webpage.
