Homecoming Highlights

Experience the excitement of Homecoming with standout events like the Alumni Achievement Awards, special open houses, unforgettable reunions, and and a full lineup of activities and events you won’t want to miss.

Celebrations kick off on Thursday evening with Pioneer Palooza and the student theme “125 Years and Still Undefeated.”

TWU alumni and friends sit at an upscale plated dinner, turning and applauding at the Alumni Achievement Awards presentation.

Friday’s activities begin midday with the Alumni Achievement Awards Luncheon & Awards Ceremony followed by a lively 125th birthday party on the lawn. Tours of TWU’s beautiful Denton campus and its newly opened buildings will be available along with historic exhibits in the Blagg-Huey Library and the Jane Nelson Institute for Women’s Leadership. Stay on campus for a thought-provoking, pride-inspiring 125th Anniversary lecture and panel discussion that looks at TWU’s historic milestones and explores its many connections to special moments in history.

For a change of pace, head to the Athletics softball field for two games and a tailgate. Go, Pioneers! Think it can’t get any better? After this amazing day on campus, prepare to relax and unwind at the Downtown Denton 125th Anniversary “Hop.” Then get a good night’s rest because Homecoming Saturday is fabulous, too!

The old Alumni House is new again, and it is now the official residence of the TWU Office of Alumni Engagement. Its reopening and ribbon cutting will occur on Saturday morning followed by a full day of alumni events, activities, reunions, and celebrations.

Alumni Achievement Awards

The 2026 Alumni Achievement Awards will take place during Homecoming on Friday, April 17, 2026.

The Alumni Achievement Awards recognize outstanding TWU graduates for their professional accomplishments, distinction in their careers, service to their communities and their loyalty and dedication to the university. Texas Woman’s University is proud to recognize and honor its distinguished alumni each year during Homecoming.
