Vice Provost for Faculty Success

In an effort to better focus on faculty development, Dr. Kimberly Miloch has been named the university’s first vice provost for faculty success, effective Feb. 1. “This new title represents the importance of faculty success to Academic Affairs, the mission of the university and student outcomes,” said Carolyn Kapinus, executive vice president for Academic Affairs and provost. In her new role, Miloch will oversee the Center for Faculty Excellence, Teaching and Learning with Technology, tenure and promotion, post-tenure review, faculty development and other academic operations. She previously held other leadership positions at Texas Woman’s, including associate dean for Academic Affairs in the College of Health Sciences, interim director of the Texas Area Health Education Center, interim chair of the Department of Kinesiology, interim chair of the Department of Health Studies, and director of Quality Enhancement Programs. Miloch also has been engaged in the Southern Association of College and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) reaffirmation and interim compliance report writing teams. Miloch joined Texas Woman’s in 2008 as an associate professor and graduate sport management coordinator in what was then the Department of Kinesiology in the College of Health Sciences.
