Steve Hill

Steve Hill attended the University of North Texas, where he played drum set and percussion with many ensembles including the jazz, Brazilian, and drumline. While studying at UNT, Hill studied with respected drum set professor Ed Soph and ultimately earned a bachelor's degree in music.

Hill has toured extensively throughout the U.S. and abroad and recorded with artists on Sub Pop and Bella Union record labels.

Hill has been teaching drum set and percussion to students of all ages for more than two decades. In addition to performing and teaching, he also provides piano and percussion accompaniment for dance classes for UNT and TWU's Dance division. He is well versed in drum set, mallets, concert and marching snare, and many other percussion instruments.
