Robin Conrad
Robin Conrad is a Los Angeles-based concert and commercial choreographer, teaching artist and dance scholar. In 2019, Conrad completed a PhD in Dance from Texas Woman’s University and was awarded a postdoctoral fellowship in the Movement, Culture, and Society research unit at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU). For eight years prior to her pursuing her PhD studies, Conrad was an associate professor of Dance at Fullerton College and lectured at California Polytechnic Institute in San Luis Obispo, Occidental College in Los Angeles, California Institute of the Arts, Los Angeles Valley College, and the University of California Irvine.

As a concert and commercial choreographer, Conrad has collaborated with well-known directors, actors and musicians. She was one of the few choreographers chosen for the 2019 cohort of Lincoln Center’s prestigious “Director’s Lab West,” and was also selected for the Inaugural Fellowship through the Institute for Jewish Creativity at the American Jewish University in Los Angeles.

She has been an artist-in-residence at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles and has presented scholarly and creative work internationally at peer-reviewed conferences and festivals. Conrad has published several articles in the Journal of Dance Education. Conrad also holds an MFA in Dance from the California Institute of the Arts and has certifications in Pilates, Gyrokinesis® Level One Foundations and yoga. Conrad is thrilled to be joining the faculty at TWU as a visiting assistant professor.
