Lily Sloan
Lily Sloan sees dance making and performing as opportunities to create and problem solve in a physically complex and spontaneous way. Sloan received her MFA from Texas Woman’s University with the Outstanding Graduate Student award, and her BA from Oakland University Honors College with the Undergraduate Distinguished Scholar award. She is a co-director of Big Rig Dance Collective, as a certified movement fundamentals artist. She has performed and/or presented work across the United States and in Mexico and Italy. As a member of the coordinating committee for the Texas Dance Improvisation Festival, her writing on the festival was featured in Contact Quarterly's newsletter. Sloan works as instructional design consultant at University of North Texas and lives in Denton with her husband and two boys.
