Ilse Mayte

Ilse Mayté is an international choreographer, dancer and educator. She holds an MFA in Dance from Texas Woman’s University and BFA in Performance and Choreography from Texas State University. She studied modern, ballet, jazz, tap, and hip-hop dance in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, for 15 years. She continued to enrich her dance studies for three years in San Marcos and Austin. Mascorro has been teaching for 11 years at dance studios, after school programs and TWU. She is interested and passionate about creating dance with socio-political messages. Currently, she teaches at TWU and Lewisville ISD as a substitute teacher.
