Annalise Boydston

Annalise Boydston (she/her) is a queer feminist performer, choreographer, and educator based in Denton. She holds a BFA in Dance from University of North Texas and an MFA in Dance from Texas Woman’s University. Her choreographic and pedagogical research interests are grounded in feminist and queer theory. She engages with personal narrative, identity and resistance against gender and sexuality norms. Annalise is currently an adjunct faculty member at TWU and UNT.

Boydston has performed in numerous productions, including student and faculty concerts, conferences such as American College Dance Association and World Dance Alliance - Americas, and benefit galas. She has performed in works by Carl Flink and Black Label Movement, Shelley Cushman, Whitney Geldon, and Reyna Mondragon. She is a company member of the Jordan Fuchs Company, mixtamotus, and TranScend Motion.

Her choreographic work has been performed on stages across North Texas. Her recent collaborative works, Undercurrent (2022) and Fire Bearing (2022), were presented at the TranScend Motion concert, SUBMERGED. She is restaging her work, What We Have (2021), on UNT students for the Spring Dance Concert.
