Jian Zhang, PhD
Research specialty: Computer Science Education
Computer science education research focuses on finding effective ways to broaden our understanding of how students learn computing concepts. Zhang’s research emphasizes the effectiveness of different outreach channels for a diverse audience, especially underrepresented student groups. Wen Xu, PhD
Research specialty: Data Mining and Information Management, Computational Social Networks
Xu’s research focuses on data science and its diverse applications. Her work aims to explore innovative ideas in data mining and big data analytics through the development of novel algorithms. These studies span multiple interdisciplinary fields, including mathematics, computer science, sociology, engineering, business, and health sciences. Xu’s research centers on two primary areas: 1. Computational Social Networks, 2. Big data analytics and real-world applications. Islam Akef Ebeid, PhD
Ebeid’s research focuses on biomedical informatics, drug discovery, protein interaction prediction, imaging, network biology, graph theory, language modeling, graph neural networks, network science, data quality, data integration, data science, big data, data mining, information retrieval, human-computer interaction, and ethics sustainability in AI.
