Brockway to lead interprofessional education efforts

July 22, 2026 – DENTON – Kaelee Brockway, a veteran educator with a history of developing collaborations across disciplines, has been named director of Interprofessional Education at Texas Woman’s University. 

As director, Brockway will lead the continued growth of TWU’s Interprofessional Education, advancing collaborative teaching, learning and practice across the university’s healthcare and healthcare-adjacent programs. She will also serve as the primary point of contact for the IPE office’s collaborations with universities, healthcare organizations and community partners. She begins her new role on Sept. 1.

Brockway is an assistant professor in the TWU School of Physical Therapy on the Denton campus and has extensive knowledge and experience with IPE.

She is a professional member of National Academies of Practice and has experience developing IPE programming, interprofessional research presentations and publications. She helped develop an interprofessional pro-bono mobile clinic at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. 

She succeeds Noralyn Pickens, who served as the associate dean for Interprofessional Education and Strategic Initiatives, and retired from Texas Woman’s.
