TWU alum uses cooking program to educate communities on nutrition

In March 2024, TWU alumna Stephanie Lopez-Neyman led cooking demonstration classes at an area elementary school. One of the unique aspects of this pilot program was the collaboration among Lopez-Neyman at the Center for the Study of Obesity, the culinary medicine program at UAMS and Chicot Elementary School.

Hui-Ting Goh, PhD, an associate professor in the School of Physical Therapy, was featured in D CEO's January/February issue and online at dallasinnovates.com. Goh was named a finalist in November for D CEO's 2025 Innovation Awards, presented in partnership with Dallas Innovates.
Goh was one of five finalists in the emerging leader category.
Doctoral PT program approved for Denton

The Texas Woman’s Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program received approval for an additional program to be housed on the Denton campus from the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
Kinesiology team earns fifth win in NASA-sponsored design challenge

When it comes to space flight challenges, Texas Woman’s kinesiology students always seem to have the best solutions. For the fifth time in the last seven years, a team of Texas Woman’s undergraduate kinesiology students took the top overall prize at a NASA-sponsored statewide design competition.
OT alum has big plans for building program that supports young adults

TWU occupational therapy alumna Danielle Howerton has thought about starting a transitional program for young adults with intellectual disabilities or neurodivergent conditions for many years. The Texas Woman's Empowering Women for Rural Healthcare Leadership mentorship program is helping making that a reality for Howerton.
