Nov. 14, 2022 – DENTON – Texas Woman's University associate professor Nasrin Mirsaleh-Kohan, PhD, will be one of the speakers for the Nov. 16 edition of Green Chemistry Connections.
Green Chemistry Connections is a series of online events on news and developments in the green chemistry community. The series is hosted by Beyond Benign, a nonprofit organization dedicated to incorporating environmental friendly practices into chemistry.
The series takes place on the third Wednesday each month through May, 2023. The November edition will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is free. Click here to register.
Kohan will speak about what chemistry and biochemistry have done to incorporate greener practices into teaching and research labs and how to expand efforts in environmental responsibility.
Earlier this summer, TWU became the 100th institution to make the Green Chemistry Commitment with Beyond Benign.
