TWU Chemistry earns large NSF grant

March 27, 2024 – DENTON – The National Science Foundation has awarded the Texas Woman's University Chemistry and Biochemistry division a continuing grant of $514,326 for the project, "HSI Implementation and Evaluation Project: Green Chemistry: Advancing Equity, Relevance, and Environmental Justice."

An additional year of funding for $283,338 could be awarded, contingent availability of funds and scientific progress.

TWU's Nasrin Mirsaleh Kohan is principal investigator on the project, and TWU's John Beatty and Gustavo Salazar are co-principal investigators along with Amanda Gonczi of Michigan Technological University and Davida Smyth of Texas A&M San Antonio.
