The emBOLDenHer: Women in Public Service Empowerment Series is a comprehensive initiative designed to provide nonpartisan support and foster a nurturing environment for women serving in various capacities within the public service sector.

Have you wondered what campaigns look like from the candidate’s perspective? With elections heating up, what is it really like to be on the campaign trail? Join us as we sit down with three former candidates, who will discuss their experiences running for state legislature, gubernatorial nomination, and city council.

Toying with a run for city council or school board? We’ve got a program for you! Join us for a day and learn how to create a message, design social media that supports your message, and plan your canvassing. We have Carrie Adams of CAPR and Gabriel Kirkpatrick running workshops, as well as Dr. Patricia Sosa-Sánchez (DISD board member) and Ann Margolin (former Dallas City Council) answering questions. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided for in-person attendees.

Good workplace collaboration leads to healthy employee relationships and creates a positive workplace culture. Plus team work makes the dream work, right?!? Join TWU’s Dr. Shannon Scott as she flexes her Ph.D. in cognitive psychology giving us some practical ways to amplify collaboration through change and conflict in the workplace. Lunch provided for in-person attendees.
