TWU center seeks women entrepreneurs for Houston training program

Aug. 17, 2023 — The Jane Nelson Institute for Women’s Leadership’s Center for Women Entrepreneurs (CWE) at Texas Woman’s University will accept applications for the AccelerateHER Program in Houston beginning Sept. 5 and closing on Oct. 5. The program will provide early-stage entrepreneurs with the resources and education to fast-track their idea, start-up, or existing business.

Seven Houston area women-owned businesses will be selected to participate in this intensive training program that is facilitated by the TWU Center for Women Entrepreneurs at Sesh Coworking.

This initiative will provide the AccelerateHER Program - Houston cohort with the following:

  • 24/7 access to a dedicated workspace at Sesh Coworking
  • Direct access to a business advisor and mentors during and after the program
  • Intensive entrepreneurial training from industry experts on vital business resources and processes
  • LivePlan and Growth Wheel user products
  • Resources to develop an updated media kit

The Center for Women Entrepreneurs is a program of the Jane Nelson Institute for Women’s Leadership at Texas Woman’s University. The institute is dedicated to preparing more women to take on successful roles in business and public service. Its three specialized centers ensure women have the education to establish careers as successful executives, the skills for building entrepreneurial businesses and the framework needed to run for public office.
