Paige Anderson
Academic Advisor I

Hometown: Prosper, TX
Education: B.A. Music Education, Texas Woman’s University
About Me: I am a first-generation with a bachelor’s in music education. During my time as an undergrad at TWU, I did my best to be involved in being a part of the community. I worked on campus at Bunsen Tea Lab for 4 years as well as was a member of our Wind Symphony for 4 years as a flute player. I served as an Orientation Leader during the summer of 2023 and loved every second of it — which led me to want to become an academic advisor. I believe in helping others in any way I can through empathy and encouragement. I strive to create a safe environment for students who walk through the doors of TWU and be a guide for those who need it. Outside of work, I love to play video games with friends, spend time with family, read, cook, and spend time with my adorable (and scary at times) cat, Winnie.

Hometown: Dallas, TX
Education: B.S. in Psychology, Texas Woman’s University
About Me: I am a first-generation student pursuing my Master of Social Work (MSW) after recently earning my B.S. in Psychology from Texas Woman’s University. As a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., I am passionate about community service and making a meaningful impact. When I’m not advocating for or caring for others, I prioritize self-care, whether it’s getting lost in a good book, cooking, or spending time with my labradoodle, Dallas. Mental health and social advocacy drive my purpose, and I’m dedicated to creating a lasting impact in my role as an advisor.

Academic Advisor I

Hometown: Fort Worth, TX
Education: B.A. Dance Studies, double Minor in Sociology and Business Management, Texas Woman’s University
About Me: As a proud first-generation Mexican-American immigrant student, my journey at Texas Woman's University began as a transfer student. During my time as an undergraduate, I was deeply involved on campus, serving as an Orientation Leader and a Resident Assistant for the Department of Housing and Dining. These experiences ignited my passion for working with students, and I knew I wanted to continue supporting them beyond my time as a student. I’m now fortunate to pursue that passion as an Academic Advisor, where I help guide students on their path to success and take pride in being part of their journey to graduation. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my best friends, watching movies, and discovering new coffee shops, restaurants, and shopping spots!

Hometown: I was born in Nezahualcóyotl, Mexico. I grew up in Dallas, Texas, and later relocated to Denton, TX, which I now consider home.
Education: B.S. in Education (EC-6 Core Subjects with ESL), Texas Woman’s University. Currently Pursuing an M.Ed in Higher Education, University of North Texas.
About Me: I’m a proud first-generation college graduate from Texas Woman’s University, and it is here that I found my passion for leadership and student support through being involved on campus. That experience led me to continue my academic journey at the University of North Texas, where I’m currently working on my Master’s in Higher Education. I am an alumna of the Dell Scholars Program, the EIF Scholars Program, and the Tri Sigma sorority here at Texas Woman’s University. I’ve had experience in teaching Dual Language EC–6 students and mentoring high schoolers on college readiness through academic summer programs. I’m honored to be part of this amazing team and excited to support both incoming and current pre-nursing students as they work toward their goals. In my free time, I love binge-watching shows, working on art projects, going to oddities expos, and spending time with the people I love. My goal for the near future is to volunteer at my local church and at women’s crisis centers.

Hometown: Graham, TX
Education: B.G.S. with concentrations in psychology and English, Texas Woman’s University
About Me: As a TWU alum, I am thrilled to be helping students succeed and thrive at Texas Woman’s University. There are so many challenges that we must overcome, both as students and as humans, to discover who we are, decide what we want from life, and pursue these goals successfully. My role as an academic advisor is to provide students with the knowledge, encouragement, and support they need to manage these challenges successfully and confidently. Outside of work, I like to spend my time running, cooking and baking, attending live music events, and spending time with my partner and my cat, Oliver Twist.
