Types of Group Tours
Give your students a first-hand look at Texas Woman’s University with a guided or self-guided group tour in Denton designed just for elementary, middle, and high school groups. Group tours must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance. Group tours are offered during the Fall and Spring semesters.
Up to 50 Students
- View into life at TWU with a Pioneer Ambassador-led 45-minute to 1-hour walking tour
- Sneak peek into a first-year student residence hall (subject to availability)
50+ Students
- Self-guided campus walking tour
- Note: Self-guided tours will not have access to the insides of certain buildings, such as the Fit & Rec and Residence Halls
- Maps and popular points of interest will be provided after registration

What to Expect
A lot of the tour takes place outdoors, we recommend comfortable walking shoes and dressing accordingly for the weather
The tour focuses on Student Life services on campus and provides a broad overview of TWU and campus highlights.

Where should group tours park?
Group tours should arrive and unload in the parking lot of the Lowry Woods apartment complex.
- Parking lot address: 1600 Oakland St., Denton, TX 76204
- Buses: Avoid using Administration Dr as it has a low clearance bridge

Where do group tours check in?
- Upon arrival, call our Information Desk at 940-898-3188
- A Pioneer Ambassador or tour guide will meet your group at the parking/unloading location
- Note: Do not enter the Apartment Clubhouse, this area is for TWU residents
Are accessibility accommodations provided?
Accommodations are provided by request. If you need assistance, contact us at campusvisit@twu.edu or 940-898-3188 at least three business days before your visit so we can best prepare and make your visit a memorable one.
Assistance includes:
- Mobility assistance: If you or a guest has difficulty walking, our office has access to a golf cart for tour use
- Other accommodation needs: For any accommodations unrelated to walking, please contact us directly
We cannot provide accommodations for groups that are not receiving a guided tour.
