"TEDx reminds us that innovation often comes from voices we least expect. It creates a space for conversations that can positively impact communities. Stories connect us in ways that facts alone can’t, and that’s how change really starts to happen. Our event demonstrates TWU’s continued commitment to fostering diversity, inclusivity, and belonging."

"I love how TEDx provides a platform for folks whose voices might otherwise go unheard. Through TED events, thought leaders from all over get a chance to tell their stories, ask big questions, and inspire others to do the same. This year’s theme of Resilience is particularly important right now– I’m excited to hear all of the nuanced conversations and vital lessons this year’s talks are sure to inspire."

"I want TEDx to come to TWU because it’s a chance for people to share their stories and ideas in a real, vulnerable way. It lets the audience learn, connect, and be inspired by different perspectives. Plus, it would be amazing for the TWU community to hear from speakers who challenge ideas and spark meaningful conversations!"

"I’ve always loved TED events and the way it brings together diverse voices, ideas, and perspectives to spark meaningful conversations. Bringing TEDx to TWU I think aligns perfectly with our university’s mission of amplifying voices that are often unheard. Being a black woman, you’re often dismissed and ignored and being able to create a platform for those voices is very meaningful."

"When I think about TEDx, I think about innovation and breaking barriers to share knowledge with those who would benefit from it most. That’s also what comes to mind when I think about Texas Woman’s University. TEDx fits into the mission of our school, the mentality of our students, and the initiatives pushed by our faculty and staff — bringing TEDx to TWU again just makes sense!"

"My greatest passion in life is helping people find and use their voices. And I am extremely honored to have the opportunity to help TEDx TWU speakers do just that. Early on in my life, I was afraid to use my voice. However, over time I realized that everything I wanted to achieve was on the other side of that fear. I have worked very hard to give my voice more power than my fear. Now it brings me great joy to help others do the same."

"As a storyteller and educator, my goal is to uplift and encourage others' voices and means of engaging with the world. I'm honored to be able to come back to TEDxTWU as a Speaker Coach and to encourage this year's group of speakers to weave threads of discovery, resilience, and impact within their talks."
