When can I pre-enroll?
You can enroll today! To pre-enroll your Microsoft account prior to August 14, 2024, please go to the link: https://aka.ms/MFASetup and follow the steps in the Turning on Multi-Factor-Authentication (MFA) in Microsoft knowledge base article.
When is the deadline to pre-enroll?
You can pre-enroll in Microsoft 365 MFA before August 14, 2024.
Who has to enroll?
On August 14, 2024, two-factor authentication will be required and turned on for all faculty, staff and students that access Microsoft 365.
What happens if I don’t pre-enroll by the deadline?
On August 14, 2024, you’ll be prompted to set up MFA for Microsoft 365. See Turning on Multi-Factor-Authentication (MFA) in Microsoft
Do I have options other than the Microsoft Authenticator app?
You can click I want to set up a different method and enroll your phone to receive a text message or a call. It’s recommended that you use your personal mobile number for Microsoft 365 MFA.
What can I expect after I enroll?
Enrolling in Microsoft 365 MFA turns on MFA for your entire TWU Microsoft 365 account. After you pre-enroll or starting August 14, 2024, when you log into Microsoft 365 using your TWU Portal credentials, you will be asked for your second factor authentication. Microsoft 355 includes Teams, Office 365, and other Microsoft cloud-based applications.
If I already turned on Microsoft two-factor verification, do I have to do it again?
If you have already enrolled in Microsoft two-factor with your TWU email account, no further action is required.
