TWU signs licensing agreement with Learfield Licensing Partners

July 2, 2018 — DENTON — Texas Woman’s University has signed a licensing agreement with Learfield Licensing Partners, effective July 1, 2018.

Learfield Licensing, a trademark management company specializing in collegiate licensing, will help the university maximize brand exposure through retail merchandising and brand development opportunities along with the day-to-day management of the university’s trademark licensing program.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Learfield Licensing Partners,” said Monica Mendez-Grant, Ed.D., Vice President for Student Life at TWU. “The licensing agreement is the first of its kind at TWU, and we look forward to collaboratively building our university and athletics brands.”

Texas Woman’s University, the nation’s largest public university primarily for women, launched a new university logo, tagline and athletics mascot in fall 2017. The agreement with Learfield Licensing will help protect and strengthen recognition of the new marks.

“We are very excited for the opportunity to work with Texas Woman’s University”, said Brad Coley, Vice President of Learfield Licensing Partners. “We look forward to working together to strengthen their brand footprint and further engage students, alumni and fans with the brand.”

Vendors interested in becoming licensed partners must complete the application. Royalties from the program will be used to support university initiatives. Additional information is available on the TWU website.
