TWU named No. 7 in nation for student experience

Oct. 17, 2023 — DENTON — Texas Woman’s has something else to brag about! The university was recently named No. 7 in the nation for student experience by the Wall Street Journal/College Pulse 2024 Best Colleges in the U.S. rankings.

The news comes after a spate of positive press about the university, including the launch of a new aviation program, the groundbreaking for a new Health Sciences Center on the Denton campus, and the launch of the university’s first comprehensive capital campaign

According to WSJ, more than 60,000 students and recent graduates across the country were interviewed between January and May. To evaluate the quality of students' college experiences, they were surveyed on their satisfaction with their schools' facilities, social life and sense of community and diversity on campus. The Journal also used federal data to evaluate the diversity of schools' faculty and student bodies with regard to race, socioeconomic background and other measures.

Earlier this fall, TWU earned the coveted Seal of Excelencia, which distinguishes institutions as among the best for meeting the needs of Latino students, and U.S. News & World Report ranked Texas Woman’s among the nation’s best for social mobility, and named the university to the publication’s “Best National University” and “Top Public Schools” lists.
