In-person events make a comeback to TWU

October 5, 2020 — Denton — After a long hiatus in face-to-face, in-person programs, Student Life is offering a slate of reoccurring events starting this week and continuing until Nov. 20. Events are designed to help students connect with each other and provide a sense of normalcy in an otherwise very abnormal year. 

"Many students have indicated that they are having difficulty sticking to a routine, including making time for their classes" said Stephanie Brown, Ed.D., Associate Vice President for Student Enrichment, Health and Support. "This schedule of activities is designed to provide a framework that students can use to help plan their days."

Studies have shown that having routines can greatly improve health and wellbeing. According to a study by researchers at Tel Aviv University, predictable, repetitive routines are calming and help reduce anxiety.

Students are encouraged to download the Weekly Planner (pdf) or Google Calendar (requires TWU login to view) and incorporate it into personal daily planners or apps.
