Medical Appointments

Medical appointments are available:

• Mon – Thurs 8:00 am - 3:30 pm
• Friday 8 am - 11:30 am & 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

For appointments, please call 940.898.3826 or visit us at the TWU Student Patient Portal to make next day acute illness appointments. Appointments are required for all medical visits.

We will make every effort to accommodate our patients with a same day appointment that fits their schedule. If this is not possible due to the volume of patients, the first available appointment that is appropriate for the complaint will be offered.

An additional fee will be charged for urgent care visits. Please be on time for your appointment. Students more than 10 minutes late will be rescheduled. If you are unable to make your appointment, call at least 2 hours prior to your appointment time in order to avoid a 'No Show' charge.

Regular medical appointments start at a $20 office visit.

Payment is due at the time of service. We accept credit card, check, cash, University Student Health Insurance and you may also bill your student account.

Extended, more advanced medical appointments, such as Annual Exams, STD testing, and Mental Health office visits, follow a different fee schedule. Any lab work, procedures, or prescriptions are an additional cost to the visit.

Cancelling an Appointment

There is a $5 fee for missed regular appointments and a $10 fee for missed Mental Health and Annual Exam appointments.

Hours

Student Health Services is open Monday – Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. SHS is open in the summer and between semesters. (SHS is closed when the campus is closed.)

Appointments can be made by calling 940.898.3826 or scheduling online at TWU Patient Portal.

Houston

The University of Texas Health Services (U.T.H.S.) is a TWU Student Health Provider. We are working together to provide for your healthcare needs.

Your TWU student ID is necessary for services.
